BDL Financial was established in Minneapolis, Minnesota during 1999 by Brian Lee.  Brian began his career after graduation in 1980 from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota with a B.A. in Business/Economics.  Upon graduation, he gained valuable industry experience as an Internal Auditor with a major US retailer.  Brian also was employed as a Corporate Accountant for a large fortune 1000-sized Minneapolis-based international manufacturer of office automation equipment.  For 15 years prior to the founding of BDL Financial, Brian worked for two large local CPA firms in Minneapolis, attaining the position of Sr. Audit Manager of the local affiliate of BDO Seidman, presently the sixth largest international CPA firm.

Brian's public accounting career was focused primarily on coordinating and managing audit engagements of both public and privately held companies, but included substantial corporate tax planning and reporting experience.  Additionally, he was responsible for the firm's audit and review engagement quality control process, and coordinating the firm's peer review engagements.       

Brian is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).  His expertise is in the areas of financial and forensic accounting, auditing, corporate taxation.  Additionally, he provides  consultation in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private placements and IPO's for both development stage (start-up) organizations and mature stable growth companies.
